Live Cannibalism is the only official standalone Cannibal Corpse live release. I think they picked some good performances and a great tracklist to showcase on the album. With all those songs though, does anyone else wish more songs from the first five years of the band would have been included? Which cover art version do you own?

Bonus Question: Would you welcome another official live album but of their days with Chris or would you prefer a more recent live record?

I have to say I'm split on it. I do love their earlier material and would want to hear a live, Chris-fronted version, but also, I would love to hear some of their more recent songs played live. Can we just have both to make everyone happy, a double disc edition that at least attempted to touch on both eras of Cannibal Corpse?

Do I wish there was Barnes material on it? Not really.

I think it's a fantastic DVD, probably one of my all-time favorites. But I think it would be appropriate to release another DVD with Barnes material on it, kind of like how S.O.D. did with Speak English or Live (Live at Budokan + WFF). First half, Barnes, second, Fisher.

No double live album from both eras. One or the other. A standalone album to define a 1989-1994 era of live material or a newer one with the more recent lineup to include songs from Kill and Evisceration Plague etc.

I would have thought that if they had album quality live recordings with Chris in a vault somewhere, they would have released it by now. Unless you're proposing they bring him back for a special show.

Dear God, no. I'd rather have vintage recordings with sh*tty sound rather than well produced ones with Barnes's present day worn-out barking all over them.

The more Cannibal the merrier. Keep putting sh*t out, I'll keep buying it. I loved Centuries Of Torment, very well put together DVD with some great live sh*t. Live Cannibalism was great with a great setlist.

I never liked Chris vocals, nor the original Hammer Smashed Face but it's a killer song in live cannibalism. Liva Cannibalism is CCs best album imo.

Its a great album with a great set list and a great performance from all the band members. Also I own the Uncensored version with the zombie and all the butchered bodies.

I would love a new live album from Cannibal Corpse, they only keep better with they're live shows.

I bought this on CD in 2003. The CD was stolen in 2006, but that's no matter. The years I had it, I grew to love it, and made me excited to see Cannibal Corpse the two times I did back in 2004. I don't think there should be another. Most bands only need one live album except for specific events (Like the infamous gorgoroth DVD, or how Running Wild is releasing their final show at Wacken on DVD).

I'm mainly a fan of live when it comes to these things as I often only need one live video and one live audio recording from a band to listen to. Motorhead's No Sleep til Hammersmith, Judas Priest's Unleashed in the East, Deep Purple's Made in Japan, Mayhem's Live in Leipzig, and Iron Maiden's Live After Death...legendary stuff like this, not the 100 live albums which followed.

Live Cannibalism mind as well be the definitive live album for the band, they don't need any more. If you want to hear 2000's cannibal corpse live, they still tour actively, i'm sure no matter where you come from you will have a chance to see them.

Just do a "cannibal corpse live 93" search or something like that on google. Ive got a bootleg from then and it sounds a lot like live cannibalism. The old stuff sounds better live.

Monolith of Death is and always will be my favorite Corpse live home release. Monolith is f*cking killer on that VHS.

Cannibal Corpse are due for a new live album. Hopefully, if they do, it'll represent the tour they are currently on.

You really think so? With Live Cannibalism, you get plenty of the Corpsegrinder era with all those songs. There are still many people out there who live the Barnes days and I think Metal Blade would do good to put out an official live album from the concerts when they had Chris. I'd buy it. I think there would be alot of money left on the table if they didn't.

I loved Hammer Smashed Face only when the Corpse started playing it live with George. That song owes it's popularity to him now. Best gutterals to it.
